Trailer Specifications

DRY VAN (Box trailer) – used for freight that has to stay dry. Length 48′ or 53′ with a weight limit generally of 44,000 lbs.

FLATBED – An open truck bed or trailer and can haul 44,000 to 48,000 lbs.

LOW BOY / DOUBLE DROP – used for taller cargo that would normally violate height restrictions on another trailer.

REEFER – Insulated temperature controlled truck equipped and used as a refrigerator to transport fresh, perishable, or frozen products.

STEP DECK (Single drop or drop deck trailer) – Similar to the flatbed but can haul a higher load without having to buy permits for the load. Length 48′ – 53′ with the upper deck usually 10′ to 11′ long. Can transport 44,000 to 45,000 lbs.

POWER ONLY – using an independent driver’s or a logistics company’s tractor to move your trailer that you have either purchased or leased.
